Litix ("we", "us") is an online toolkit for creating captions and short viral clips from your videos, available at https://litix.in. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile details Google shares with us. If you create a password, we store only a salted hash of it.
- Usage and credits: your credit balance, credits used and purchase history.
- Payments: payments are processed by PayPal and Razorpay. We do not receive or store your full card details.
- Support messages you send us.
- Technical data: basic request information such as IP address and browser type, used for security and rate limiting.
Your videos
Video files you open in Litix are processed in your browser. To create captions or find clips, the audio is sent to our server, which forwards it to a speech-to-text provider and returns the transcript. We do not keep your video files. Transcripts are processed to return results to you and are not used to build advertising profiles.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to protect requests (session and security cookies). Where advertising is shown, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
Advertising
Litix may show ads from third-party ad networks and may offer optional "watch an ad" rewards (for example, removing the watermark from exports for a limited time). Ad networks may collect information through cookies and similar technologies under their own privacy policies. Where required by law, we request your consent before showing personalised ads.
How we use information
- To provide, secure and improve Litix.
- To process payments and credits and respond to support requests.
- To show ads that help keep parts of the service free.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers needed to run Litix (hosting and database, payment processors, speech-to-text, advertising partners) and when required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
Retention and your choices
We keep account data while your account is active. You can ask us to access or delete your account and data at any time by writing to support@litix.app.
Children
Litix is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
